hier ist er, unser erster Blogpost! Freut ihr euch auch so sehr wie wir?!
In diesem Blog wollen wir vordergründlich über unsere Austauschjahre berichten und unsere Familien und Freunde auf dem Laufenden halten.
Jetzt wollen wir uns erstmal vorstellen.
Julia:
Ich bin nicht unbedingt so gut darin, mich selbst zu beschreiben, aber ich habe durch die Bewerbung ein bisschen Übung bekommen, also:
Ich bin für die meisten Jule und ich denke man könnte mich als freundlich, hilfsbereit und eher ruhig bezeichnen.
Ich mache Leichtathletik, gehe schwimmen, nehme Klavierunterricht und bin im Schulclub, in dem wir die Schulbälle und andere Veranstaltungen organisieren. Außerdem gehe ich oft Eislaufen und bin erwiesener Serienjunkie und Leseratte :).
Ansonsten sagt meine Länderwahl wohl schon so einiges über meine Person aus: Nach Costa Rica will ich, weil es so vollkommen unbekannt für mich ist und keiner so richtig viel darüber weiß (den meisten muss ich erst einmal erklären wo das liegt ;D). Es ist ein Abenteuer - anderes Land, andere Kultur und ein ziemlich anderes Klima! Auch meine Spanischkenntnisse sind bis jetzt eher begrenzt. Das war jedoch ein weiterer Grund, dieses kleine mittelamerikanische Land auszuwählen - ich bin eine Art Sprachenfanatikerin, und die spanische Sprache hat es mir irgendwie angetan. :)
Viel mehr gibt es über mich eigentlich nicht zu sagen, außer dass ich ziemlich aufgeregt wegen des Auslandsjahres bin und mich über jeden freue, der sich Zeit nimmt, mal auf unserem Blog vorbeizuschauen. :)
Natalie:
Ich würde mich selbst als ein abenteuerlustiges, freundliches und offenes Mädchen bezeichnen.
Ich gehe für mein Leben gerne schwimmen und Tischtennis spielen. In der Grundschule habe ich zwei Jahre lang Gitarre gespielt, ich würde gerne wieder damit anfangen, bekomme es aber im Moment leider nicht auf die Reihe. Des Weiteren singe ich sehr gerne, auch wenn es nicht immer gut klingt. Mit meinen Freunden und meiner Familie verbringe ich gerne viel Zeit.
Ich liebe es zu reisen, jedesmal ist es, als würde man in eine andere Welt eintauchen...
Andere Sprachen, andere Kulturen...
Ich bin ebenfalls Mitglied im Schulclub und eine Leseratte.
Am liebsten lese ich Fantasybücher, des Weiteren hat mich Jule mit ihren Serien angesteckt, Game of Thrones, Switched at Birth und Gossip Girl habe ich jetzt durch, als nächstes ist Supernatural an der Reihe.
Mit dem Gedanken, ein Auslandsjahr zu machen, habe ich mich schon vor ein paar Jahren auseinandergesetzt. Ich war ein Riesen Fan von den High School Musical-Filmen und habe immer davon geträumt, einmal auf so eine Schule zu gehen. Und es kommt, wie es kommen musste...
Im Schuljahr 2017/18 werde ich mir genau diesen Traum erfüllen. Ich werde für 10 Monate in die USA gehen!!
Und ähhm...das wars jetzt erstmal von mir ;).
Wir werden beide mit der Austauschorganisation Youth for Understanding - kurz YFU unser Austauschjahr machen.
Sie entsendet jährlich rund 1.200 deutsche Schülerinnen und Schüler ins
Ausland und nimmt circa 600 Jugendliche aus anderen Ländern in
Deutschland auf. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Länderauswahl, die YFU anbietet. Neben den Klassikern USA oder Großbritannien, kann man sein Austauschjahr auch in Estland, Paraguay oder eben Costa Rica verbringen...So das war`s jetzt erstmal!

there it is, our first blogpost!! Are you as excited as we are?!
In this blog we want to write about our exchange years and keep our families and friends informed.
But first let's introduce ourselves.
Julia:
I'm not quiet good at describing myself, but I got a bit of practise through the application, so:
For most people I'm Jule and I think you could call me a friendly, helpful and rather quiet person.
I do athletics, go swimming, take piano lessons, besides I am in the so called "school club" where we organize school balls and other events.I also often go ice skating and I love watching series and reading.
Friends
and family are the most important things in my life, which is why it
will be really hard for me not to see all of them for a whole year. But
fortunalety Natalie and I have this blog to keep everybody updated and
to get in touch with our beloved ones.Otherwise my country choice probably tells a lot about my person: I want to go to Costa Rica because it's an almost completely unknown area for me that nobody of my freinds and relatives really knows a lt about (most of them I first have to explain where this Costa Rica is situated ;D). I'm going on an adventure - strange country, new culture and a pretty different climate! My Spanish skills are quiet limited, too. But that's another reason to choose this small Central American country - I'm kind of a language fanatic, and I "fell in love" with the Spanish language :).
Natalie:
In my leisure time I go swimming and play table tennis. In the primary school I played the guitar for two years, I would like to go on but I have no time at the moment. I also enjoy singing even if it does not always sound that good. I like spending time with my friends and my family.
I love travelling, every time it's like going into a different world ...
Other languages, other cultures ...
With the idea of doing an exchange year, I have already explained myself a few years ago.
I was a huge fan of the High School Musical movies and I`ve always dreamed of going to such a school.
In the school year 2017/18 I will fulfill this dream. I will go to the US for 10 months !!
I am really exited!
We`ll do our exchange year with Youth For Understanding - YFU. It sends around 1,200 German pupils abroad each year and takes around 600 young people from other countries in Germany.
Particularly impressive is the country selection that YFU offers. In addition to the classics USA or Great Britain, you can also spend your exchange year in Estonia, Paraguay or even Costa Rica ...
